Why is it sometimes much easier to reply comments rather than just chatting on MSN?
Why is it sometimes much easier to talk online than to meet in person?
Well, you see there's this theory of "time to think" i've figured. When you comment each other on myspace, you'd have to go through the whole process of typing your comment as long or as short as you like, press the comment button, wait for verification, confirm you comment and wait for the other person to do the same process, repeatedly. Meanwhile, when you chat on MSN it's just a matter of seconds typing and clicking enter. The time for you to think of what to write is so short that you tend to type as fast as you can and reply immediately. When you think of it, you could just slowly think and wait for you to type something you'd like to say full-heartedly but the pressure and pushing force by the MSN chat system is more powerful that it demands you to attend to it right away. THIS EXCLUDES IF YOU'RE LAZY TO TALK OR YOU'RE TRYING TO IGNORE SOMEONE.
It amazes me sometimes why my contacts who are online, prefer talking on myspace rather than MSN, when MSN, you don't have to wait, and approve comment or check your comments all the time. Don't get me wrong, i'm guilty too. It just feels a lot more comfortable to talk on myspace i supposed because then you could take your bloody own grandmother of the ancient time to reply the comments and add more spark to it. MSN causes you to be your own self and normal and maybe BORING sometimes.
In conclusion, i figured that the social online sites such as Myspace, Facebook etc etc. allows you to become a more interesting person but not utterly yourself. Not only pictures could be deceiving, your personality could be deceiving too online. On the other hand, MSN, is much more real compared to these online sites because MSN allows you to converse almost similarly to a normal conversation face to face which can cause awkwardness, lost of things to say and clumsiness. It is most fortunate that these days most of the users for social communities online sites are beginning to be HONEST and show their true colors rather than pretending to be someone they are not.
