P. RAMLEE THE MUSICAL WAS A BRILLIANT SHOW!
Credits firstly goes to the creative production team, directors and producers. *Clap Clap Clap*
Then, it goes to the fantastic cast. They were really good actors and actresses. The guy who played P. Ramlee was a well known P. Ramlee "replica" since he was young. He goes by the name Musly Ramlee. Now he really sounds like a long lost brother or something right? *Laugh Laugh* He had the same look, style, habits and voice as the late P. Ramlee. The women cast, from the start, Azizah, P.Ramlee's first love, played by Emelda Rosmila. A small part compared to the rest. Then, Junaidah, P. Ramlee's first wife, played by Atilia. One of my favorite singer/actress actually. She was able to portray that petite and gentle elegance Junaidah had and the way she was being tossed aside in P.Ramlee's life opposed to his rising fame. Next, Norizan played by Melissa Saila. This was an excellent performance by Melissa where she was able to manifest the Primadona, Norizan was known to be. She had this very cheeky, flirtatious and "about to eat you up if you don't bow to her wishes" kind of personality that was absolutely perfectly played by Melissa. I gave her the standing ovation for she was my favorite for the night. Lastly, the non other than Saloma played by Liza Hanim. She was equally good and worthy as all the tabloids has praised her excellence in delivering Saloma in the show. Up to her hourglass and sexy figure and down to her voice, everything was well performed.
The stage, as usual, impressive. Yet, it was predictable to be, it is Istana Budaya, which held a lot of nice shows. The costumes were so cool, i felt like reliving those years for a moment. Furniture and props were also cool. Very detailed, elegant and sleek.
I enjoyed P.Ramlee the Musical like crazy. I'm so thankful i got to watch it at the last week. Oh, Thank You God, I love you. And how about another round of applause!
:)
