I really should have listened to what mom would say,
Don't ever trust strangers with your heart,
When I got on that ride with you,
The road seemed endless,
There were many paths for me to choose from,
They were neither good or bad,
They were just there for me to walk on it,
And I literally cut through my flesh and open up my heart a little bit more for you,
Even when I knew I shouldn't,
I forced it open,
Just so you could be in it,
Just so I could erase the pain and love you,
My mistake was not trusting strangers,
But not knowing you were now,
A stranger.
